Pre-treatment advice

Updated: Sep 10, 2022

All treatments

  • You can wear your usual make-up to the salon on the day of the treatment.

  • A sensitivity patch test will be performed before the treatment.

  • Do not take aspirin, ibuprofen, or coumadin for two days before and two days after the treatment.

  • Do not drink alcohol the night before your treatment.

  • Do not drink coffee on the day of the appointment.

Eyebrow treatments

  • There is no need to shape your eyebrows before the treatment.

  • If you tint your eyebrows, please do it at least one week before the treatment.

  • Don't do any facial peels, laser treatments and dermabrasion 2 weeks before your appointment.

  • If you had Botox injections, the semi-permanent makeup procedure is allowed after 2-3 weeks.

  • Stop using retinol and vitamin A products around your eyebrows for at least a month.

  • Stop taking Vitamin A supplements for at least a month before your appointment.

Eyeliner treatments

  • Any eyelash tinting or eyelash perming should be carried out no sooner than one week before or two weeks after the treatment.

  • You may experience some swelling after the treatment.

  • Do not wear contact lenses during or immediately after the treatment. Remember to bring your glasses. After approximately 24 hours you can start wearing again your contact lenses.

Lip treatments

  • If you are prone to cold sores (herpes simplex), we advise you to contact your doctor in order to obtain the prescription.

  • Also, you can get Zovirax and use it one week before and one week after your treatment. This can help minimise an outbreak.

  • Permanent cosmetic treatments do not cause cold sores, however, if you carry the virus, it lays dormant in the body and can be aroused by the treatment.
